We are proud to announce that Azure Flight Support has acquired Shelbyville Flight Academy, LLC based at the Shelbyville Municipal Airport (KSYI) in Tennessee.

We are honored that the owners, Joe and Linda Roberts, trusted us to take the controls of their growing aviation business.

Joe and Linda started Shelbyville Flight Academy 5 years ago with a vision of providing high quality personalized flight training in the Middle Tennessee area. They are both experienced aviators and entrepreneurs having owned several businesses in Connecticut and New York, including a flight school and an air charter company. They grew the business to a fleet of five training aircraft and recently obtained Part 141 Pilot School Certification from the FAA.

This acquisition fits into the vision of Azure Flight Support to provide general aviation services at growing general aviation airports in Tennessee and the Southeastern US.

The Shelbyville Municipal Airport, located in Southern Middle Tennessee, is positioned well to grow over the next few years as more people move from other areas of the country to live and work in Tennessee. The airport went through a major renovation of its runway in 2019 and has excellent facilities and infrastructure to serve Business and General Aviation aircraft owners and pilots.

We look forward to working with the Shelbyville Airport Authority and the City of Shelbyville to provide pilot training at KSYI and be a part of a dynamic and growing community.
