Andy’s aviation career spans 36 years. He is a CFI and CFII. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace with a Pro Pilot emphasis from Middle Tennessee State University. He has flown part 91 and part 135 passenger service in twin turboprops, and part 91 passenger service in jet aircraft. Andy has been a Certificated Flight Instructor for over 30 years. He also worked for American Airlines in Fleet Service, handling ground operations.

Andy has also worked for a major auto insurer for as an underwriter for nearly 25 years, where he recently retired to pursue aviation full-time. His risk management and teaching backgrounds both work as strengths for Andy in his teaching flight students with an emphasis on safety and professionalism. Andy has several former students who are now airline pilots, and he loves watching their careers grow.

Andy has a love for serving God in his church on it’s hospitality team and as a drummer in it’s praise band. Andy still remembers his first flight lesson well: “My flight instructor asked me if I had flown in a small plane before. When I answered no, he said “Man, this is going to be fun. There’s nothing like it”. He was right. I carry that with me today and tell others the same thing so I can help their flying experience begin on a very positive note”.
