Shelbyville Flight Academy

The Shelbyville Airport is a great place to learn to fly, add additional ratings, or improve your flying skills if you are located in Middle Tennessee. Just 20 miles south of Murfreesboro adjacent to HWY 231 (Four Lane Highway), if you live on the south side of I24 in Murfreesboro you can get to the Shelbyville Airport faster than you can get to the Murfreesboro Airport.

Shelbyville Municipal Airport (KSYI) recently went through an extensive airport renovation in 2019 with a completely rebuilt runway that is 5500 Feet long. The airport has six published instrument approaches. KSYI is located within 30 miles of six other general aviation airports that makes it easy to do practice approaches, control tower operations, and take off and landings at different airports.

The terminal building was built in the 1960’s but has been through a recent renovation.

You will spend less time in line for departure and more time in the air when you train in Shelbyville.
We also offer introductory (Discovery) flights for $119 to let you experience the joy of flying.

If you are interested in learning to fly or just want to know more about what it is all about give us a call at 615-335-4130 during normal office hours. You can also reach us by email at KSYI@azureflightsupport.com

We will put you in touch with one of our flight instructors who will be glad to speak with you.
